Fear not if you don't know your focus from your f-stop

1 January 2013

Help is at hand for anyone who received a camera from Santa but doesn't know their focus from their f-stop.

The club’s season resumes on Wednesday 9 January and chairman Richard Bryant says that practical learning will continue to be a key feature in 2013. The aim is to help those who are new to the hobby or who want to develop their skills.

The group welcomes people of all levels with the philosophy of learning together.

Richard said: "For anyone new to digital photography, spending time with fellow enthusiasts can be more productive than reading a manual."

CONTESTS
In addition to practical workshops, over the coming months, the programme will feature guest speaker presentations about Western Canada and the Falkland Islands and the season’s remaining two image contests for its members — the annual and chairman’s choice competitions.

The opening night for 2013 kicks off with a three-way battle with Axminster in Devon and Peterhead, Scotland.

The club meets on Wednesdays at Park Grove Church Hall. Further information is available by telephoning club secretary Steve Moull on 542884 or visiting www.knaresboroughcameraclub.blogspot.co.uk
