Image of the Month: June 2013

Each month, we invite a club member to tell the story behind a photograph they have taken. This month's submission comes from Richard Bryant.
Holy Trinity Church, Knaresborough, by Richard Bryant.

The vicar had kindly invited us to photograph Holy Trinity Church in Knaresborough.

Looking down the aisle, I was drawn to the modernist stained glass window at the west end, glowing with the evening sunshine.

I wanted something more than a record shot and noticed that, with careful framing, the Church Warden's staff mirrored the shape of the window.

Placing the staff and window at an angle in the frame added a final element of drama.
