Image of the Month: July 2014

July's top pic comes from club member Mike Morley who tells the story behind taking it.

This photo of Knaresborough Castle on a sunny evening was processed with the HDR technique and the Tour de France school T-shirts that are hung up make an excellent leading line into the image. 
When the photo was put on the Knaresborough Now facebook group there was a comment that when rotating the castle profile, locals recognised it as that of Mary, the Queen of Scots
I have included the rotated photo here as well and the illusion is quite clear. Even the golden sunlight suggests the hair. Apparently she may have been imprisoned in the castle in ancient times.
