Club turns to the professionals and a new base

News release: September 2015
A great base on which to build:
chairman Richard Bryant.

Knaresborough Camera Club’s chairman is sticking with the programme formula that is drawing new members.

Richard Bryant says the 45-strong group of amateurs has turned once again to the professional world for its line up of judges and speakers. Commercial photographers from North and West Yorkshire will scrutinise competition images and talk about techniques for award-winning shots.

And the new season, which starts on Wednesday 16 September, sees the group operating from new premises at Chain Lane Community Centre.

The club attracts members of all levels.
Richard said: “Our new venue and programme combine to give us a great base on which to build our membership even further. The club has already received lots of enquiries from photography fans keen to know when and where the new season starts.

“Our varied programme of contests, lectures and workshops has proven popular with existing and new members which means we have the right balance. Our members also tell us they enjoy the strong emphasis of learning together regardless of skill levels.”

The club meets on Wednesdays at 7.45pm.
