Obituary: Mick Gee

Remembered fondly ... Mick Gee (fifth from left with arms folded).

It is with great sadness that we report the loss of former club member Mick Gee today (Thursday 22 June 2017) following a stroke.

Knaresborough Camera Club chairman Richard Bryant said: "Mick will be sorely missed. When he was with us whether indoors or on a summer outing, he was the life and soul of the party. He was also an enthusiastic member who was keen to learn how to improve his photography.

"Mick was also great with new members, making them feel welcome and sharing his experiences as a relatively new member himself."

Mick, who lived at Cowthorpe, leaves his wife Christine and daughters, Amanda and Sarah.

Amanda said: "He enjoyed his time with the camera club and made many friends. He spoke fondly of the time at the club meetings.

"As sad as it is, he was able to give the gift of life to others by being an organ donor. We are so very proud of him."
