A SPECIAL YEAR FOR LOCAL PHOTOGRAPHERS

The year 1966 was a winner for England and we like to think it was a good one for Knaresborough, too, for that was the year the North Yorkshire town's camera club was formed.

Over the decades since then, we have embraced new tools and techniques to ensure that we stay ahead of the game.

The emphasis is on providing a friendly, relaxed environment in which members and guests can learn by sharing their experiences.

Our indoor programme features guest speakers who are able to provide fascinating insights into their chosen fields. We cover the gamut of subjects: landscape, portraiture, travel, wildlife and other specialisms and members often comment on how their photography is benefiting from being part of our group.

We meet Wednesdays on Zoom or face-to-face depending on the agenda for our main September-April programme. Zoom has enabled us to secure the services of guest speakers and competition judges from across the country. From late April to August, you'll find us at various locations around the local area on shoots.

And we have our Monday at Seven  group where some members team up every two weeks for an informal discussion about their photos and topics of interest.
