Using a zoom has taken on a different meaning for Knaresborough Camera Club as it invites new members to join for its autumn programme.
Matthew Webber, who chairs the club, is confident that the Zoom format evenings introduced last year will continue to be a hit with members by offering access to more guest speakers and judges from throughout the UK.
Matthew said: "While we might return to a physical venue at some point, the Zoom calls have been hugely popular with our members who enjoy receiving insights from experts as far afield as Birmingham, Cardiff and London in the comfort of their homes."
The club offers two meetings a week during its September to April programme. The full group meets at 7.45pm on Wednesday evenings with Tuesday evenings set aside for Camera Talk, a smaller gathering where members learn how to improve their skills.
The new programme, which starts this week, includes talks entitled All the Gear and No idea, Lakes and Coastal Photography and Scottish Wildlife. There will also be opportunities for members to seek group feedback on their work as well as a series of competitions and some outdoor events.
The club welcomes anyone with an interest in photography regardless of their skill levels. Information about enrolment and the club programme is available on the Knaresborough Camera Club website.
